On the 17th February 2014, four young silversmiths, myself, Kate Earlam, Ryan McClean and Sophie Stamp, alongside master craftsman Rod Kelly MA RCA and Alfie the Pointer, will embark upon an epic journey in a Volkswagen Transporter. Their destination ... The wilds of Shetland!!
Myself, along with the three other QEST scholars will spend two weeks at the South House Silver Workshop Trust led by Rod Kelly, advancing their existing knowledge and skills in the fine craft of silversmithing.
You can follow the up's and downs of our Shetland silversmithing adventure right here with hopefully frequent updates and photos of the hard work, fun and adventures....so watch this space!
This awaits...
