Making Mini Maria, and Maria Canova Vases

Mini Maria, taking shape
Filled with pitch, ready for melting.
Working outside, warming the pitch
Chasing on pitch
Chasing the fabric around the neck

Empty room...
My space....

Shelved gone...

About Me

My photo
Elizabeth Auriol Peers
International artist-silversmith Elizabeth Peers draws the inspiration for her unique, feminine forms from the human body. She is often drawn to unusual markings and characteristics and is captured by the playfulness of a curve, crevice or crease. Elizabeth uses chasing and a free-form raising technique to produce these folds, bulges and undulations that are iconic in her work. Elizabeth states, “the owner of a piece of mine should imbue a little of themselves within that piece and treasure it” Elizabeth sells her characterful silver directly to the public at fairs. She also works to commission.
